Buy Your Youth Fair Tickets!

Youth Fair Form

Teachers and Students:

Riviera Middle School PTSA has discount tickets for sale, for admission and rides at the Youth Fair. You can save money by purchasing your tickets now, instead of at the Youth Fair. They Youth Fair dates are, March 26, April 12. Spring break is during this time and the POP tickets are good Monday-Friday. The 24-coupon ride card is good any day of the Fair and the only card that can be used on school field trips. The last day to order your tickets will be Wednesday march 18. So please don’t delay.

Pfat Book Club

This is a club about reading. You can read books that have limited copies, that everyone wants to read. Before or after school, or when students are done with their work they can come and read these books. The books cant leave the library though. Competitions have come across series books with Accelerated Reader tests. Two through six people in a group. Prizes will be given. The purpose this club serves is to allow students to read popular books that never stay on the shelves, which promotes a love of reading. Books include the Twilight series, the Harry Potter series, A Child Called It series, the Joey Pigza series, the R.L Stine books and more. Anyone who loves books can join the club.

Season starts:

January 7th Boys - Mr. Weiss

January 8th Girls - Mr. Kidd

 

Practices are Monday, Wednesday, & Friday for the Boys and Tuesday, & Thirsday for the Girls.

Tryouts end at 5:00p.m.

Have fun and discover something new! The Parent Academy FREE family learning events provide an opportunity for families to learn together, gather information and discover while having fun. This weekend provides several great opportunities.

 

Jump into Science in Action at the Miami Science Museum on Saturday, November 15th, 2-7 p.m. Play live music in the Sabor Music Jam. Take part in a bio-diversity exercise and experience the secrets of survival in nature. Be a science fair critic and create your own project.  Learn about smart recycling or complete a chemistry experiment. For more information, click here or call 305-995-2680.

Listen to one of America’s most renowned ensembles, The Portland String Quartet, on Saturday, November 15th, 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.) at St. Martha Church. Meet the artists at the reception following the performance. Reservations are required. Call 305-995-2680 or click here.

SUPERINTENDENT UNVEILS PLAN TO REALIGN DISTRICT BUDGET

 

Superintendent Alberto Carvalho unveiled a plan to realign the budget of Miami-Dade County Public Schools by reorganizing the District, while maximizing opportunities and reducing liabilities. The Superintendent’s plan comes in response to devastating economic conditions at local, state and national levels that have resulted in huge revenue losses for the District. Read more.
